Liz & Fran
Fran and I met during our senior year in high school. We made fast friends and I think what really drew us together was the fact that we both made the other smile so much. Fran was and always has been a love — kind, passionate about family and friends, silly and fun, smart and genuine to the core. When he asked me out, I was not necessarily expecting it, but it was easy to say yes to his bright blue eyes and his warm hugs and his beautiful soul 🙂 We dated through the end of the school year – which pretty much just meant we watched movies every Friday or Saturday night at our respective family homes after Fran got out of swim and/or I wrapped up babysitting… and maybe we passed a few love notes in Mr. Vaughn’s government class. It has always been a simple, easy, effortless love that we share and I am so fortunate to have found a man who cares for me like Fran does.
And now, nearly 12 years after saying yes I’ll be marrying him in a quaint little spot on the coast of Maine that we both adore. Overall, we wanted this day to be one that was easy to enjoy and full of all the things we love about our family, friends, and the New England coast. Sunshine. Games. Good food. Cake!! We just figured after all the support and amazing things our village has done for us over the years, they deserved to be thrown a proper soiree to commemorate it all.
