Meredith & Mark
“Brother! Brother! Brother!” Meredith exclaimed as Mark’s three brothers descended the stairs of St. Brendan’s Chapel in Biddeford Pool following the ceremony to wrap their arms around their new sister. An only child, it was a touching moment to literally see these two families embrace their new status as one big family.
Family was very much the central theme on this day, each member playing an integral part throughout as parents, siblings, aunts and beloved grandma Louise joined in to lend a hand, pin a flower, raise a glass or catch a beat on the dance floor.
It was a busy, beautiful day boasting bright blue skies and the perfect summer temperature to witness vows and later mill about outside On the Marsh Bistro for cocktail hour in the gardens. Later, a formal dinner upstairs in the dining room featured the collection of Chinese vases Mark has gifted to Meredith over the years (and then some) and words by the priest (Meredith’s cousin who married them) and one of Mark’s brothers (best man Matt), who spoke about how the newlyweds met in Paris working at the French Open tennis tournament 8 years ago. Later, it was back downstairs to the first level for an epic dance party with Boston’s Night Shift band.
Meredith and Mark have an easy, kind and comfortable way about them and I loved joining their family for a day (as Meredith expressed as we hugged good-bye at the end of the night)! Wishing you two the trip of a lifetime on your amazing honeymoon, and many more adventures together as you settle in California! xo
