What makes you different?

I founded emilie inc. photography in 2003 after working as a photographer and photo editor with USA Today and The Washington Post. I’ve documented presidents (plural!), major news events and championships, celebrities and small town heroes. It’s this training and connection to telling stories that developed my candid, fly-on-the-wall approach to photographing your wedding and capturing the truth and emotion of the day in a timeless way. I’m also a pretty awesome person to have around: kind, helpful (I’ve photographed more than 400 I Do’s!), punctual, professional and fun.

What do most couples spend for their coverage?

Couples who hire me value quality imagery and service, attention to detail and respect the credentials I bring to the table to capture the biggest event of their lives so far. You want the best and therefore are prepared to spend $6,000-12,000 on photography and albums.

We’re having an intimate wedding or elopement, do you have a package for us?

Yes! Hourly coverage is available for small midweek ceremonies or elopements.

Do you recommend a second photographer?

While I have photographed many weddings solo, I recommend that you consider adding a second photographer to your coverage if your guest list creeps over 100 or if you have multiple venues and logistics to consider (e.g., you are getting ready in different locations or want to travel to a first look location).

Will you take traditional formals?

Of course! Your formal portraits will be the classic images that your family will frame, share, and show to future generations. I promise I’ll make it short and sweet (and help you through so you look and feel comfortable, relaxed and joyful!).

Should we book an engagement session?

An engagement session is the perfect way to break the ice, get to know each other (me and you!) and practice being in front of the camera before your wedding.

Do your packages include digital images?

They sure do, yes!

When will we be able to see our wedding photos?

While you’re enjoying your honeymoon, I’ll be going through all of your images and carefully selecting the best ones to tell your story. You’ll receive a link to your gallery less than a month after your wedding day, typically within 2-3 weeks!

I’m ready to book!

I’m thrilled! To make it official, you just need to let me know which options you’d like in your custom package. I’ll then email you a proposal for you to review, approve, and e-sign! A retainer payment of 50% of the total is due at the time of booking.
