What is a mini session?

You want professional photos to remember your little family as it grows annually.

You want professional photos of you with your family since you are always the one who takes the photos.

You want professional photos to share in a photo holiday card.

You want professional photos to gift to your loved ones under the tree.

You want professional photos but you don’t have the budget for a full session.

You want professional photos but you know your kids/partner won’t last a full hour.

You want professional photos but you don’t know a location that will photograph well.

Mini sessions!

Minis are a marathon of shortened portrait sessions one after the other in the same location. Just 20 minutes in length and at a location I have worked at countless of times. I’m familiar with the light, what to expect with the tide, best backdrops and how to help you and your family feel comfortable quickly so we can make some great images together I know you’ll adore!

Things to keep in mind:

These are timed sessions. If you’re late, you forfeit your time in front of the lens. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early without distracting the session currently in progress.

These are timed sessions. We’ll be excited to see each other. We’ll want to catch up! We need to make photos! The struggle is real. I’ll be working efficiently in the allotted time we have together. Let’s find a longer time to have a play date or meet for a coffee to gab more sometime soon, lol.

Needing some outfit inspiration? Hoping this post may help!

Traveling a far distance and want a place to sleep? If your children are anything like mine, they’ll be most excited to stay at a place with an indoor pool this time of year! The Clarion Hotel in Portland is reasonable. Looking for finer accommodations? Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth is kid (and pup!) friendly with access to the beach down a wonderful boardwalk. Check out Portland Kids Calendar or Maine Today for more goings-on throughout your stay.

How to book:

Mini sessions take place around Mother’s Day in the spring and during peak foliage in autumn. This year’s fall sessions have just been announced for Sunday, October 13th! Read our latest newsletter to learn how to grab your spot (and subscribe to receive more if you like what you read!)!
