What to expect: senior portrait

WOHOO! Congratulations! Yay you for getting to this momentous rite of passage! I remember having my senior portraits taken like it was yesterday! Things have changed considerably since then (cough, cough), but the tradition of a formal portrait to herald this time of life is a fun and exciting one… and might just be your first time working with a professional photographer?

If yes, know this: it might be awkward for the first few minutes. Don’t sweat it! That’s totally to be expected and I’ll have you feeling at ease in no time. Promise.

Keeping an eye on the forecast, we’ll agree on a date and place to meet (with a rain date penciled in, just to be safe): usually your home, a favorite beach or park.

You are welcome to bring a parent, sibling or friend with you if you feel it will help. Music, too! However you envision this experience being the most fun, I’m game.

I often get asked for clothing advice and I always say the same thing: do you! Choose an outfit or two that best represents your personal style and that you will feel proud looking back on years from now.

I’ll help guide you through poses to look both comfortable and beautiful for 45 minutes to an hour. Two weeks after your session, you’ll receive a link to an online gallery where you’ll be able to view and download images, and order prints or other products to share with family and friends.

To book your session, reserve a date on my calendar here. Yay!
